VIZIFORT helps to restore the normal structure and function of the nervous tissue in and around the eye.  When used consistently, VIZIFORT helps to cleanse and support the function of the eye lens.  VIZIFORT helps improve daylight and low-light vision and is recommended as a preventative boost to overall eye health.

What makes VIZIFORT effective is its special blend of vitamins and minerals.  These include:

  • Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) is an active participant of redox processes in the body and in tissue respiration. Riboflavin is a part of the pupil, which, in its turn protects the retina from harmful ultraviolet rays.
  • As a part of the eye lens, Vitamin B2 helps to maintain the supply of glutathione, which is an active antioxidant. Conjunctivitis, lacrimation, photophobia, pain in eyes, eye inflammation, disease of the cornea, cataracts, and night blindness are usually associated with a deficiency of Vitamin B2.
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) - is required to power the nerve cells, along which impulses go from the retina to the cerebral cortex.
  • Vitamin B6 increases the sensitivity of the receptors, facilitates the transmission of nerve impulses, and improves the nutrition of eyes and eye tissues.
  • The lack of vitamin B6 is associated with severe eyestrain, eye twitching, and fatigue, which may also occur due to inflammation of the mucous membranes of the eyes (conjunctivitis) and/or inflammation of the optic nerve.
  • Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) plays an important role in metabolism. The first sign of the lack of Vitamin B5 is impaired vision and memory.
  • Vitamin E is the most common of the antioxidant vitamins.  It helps to slow down oxidation processes, stimulates muscular activity, and prevents oxidation of vitamin A. It prevents retinal detachment, cataracts, improves blood circulation, and normalizes muscle activity.
  • Vitamin E deficiency can lead to cataract formation and the risk of macular degeneration of the retina.
  • Vitamin A helps keep eyes young by accelerating the regeneration of the retina and stimulating the retinal rods.  It also helps deal with night blindness, and prevents the early development of cataracts and is necessary to prevent macular degeneration (vascular pathology and ischemia – malnutrition of the central area of the retina).  These are diseases that usually develop in older age. Vitamin A deficiency affects the period and development of eye diseases such as keratitis and blepharitis.
  • Zinc has been found in the retina (in photoreceptors and pigment epithelium), in the vascular and in the iris.  It helps to maintain the level of Vitamin A in the eye, and it’s involved in the synthesis of protein molecules.   Zinc inhibits the activity of carbonic anhydrase, an enzyme that is involved in the formation of the aqueous humor, and therefore zinc is used to reduce intraocular pressure in glaucoma.
  •  Zinc deficiency causes a decrease in myelination of nerve fibers, and thus leads to optic neuropathy, night blindness, and age-related macular degeneration.  It reduces retinal ischemia, and at high concentrations Zinc can contribute to its development. The lack of intracellular zinc leads to the apoptosis (self-destruction) of neurons, astrocytes, and retinal photoreceptors.
  • Selenium is an antioxidant that protects intracellular structures of eye tissue from the destructive action of oxygen radicals.  Sharp vision depends on Selenium content in eye cells.
  • Selenium slows the eyes aging processes, binds and neutralizes free radicals, protects blood vessels in the eyes from the destructive action of oxidative stress, improves cellular metabolism, and slows down the process of hardening arteries in the eyes.  It also supports the normal functioning of the retina and prevents the degeneration of the optic nerve.
  • Potassium regulates the fluid balance in the eye and ensures the normal functioning of eye tissue by helping to lower intraocular pressure.  Potassium improves blood flow to the eyes and thus slows their aging and weakness.
  • Phosphorus helps insure the proper functioning of the retina, and is also involved in the production of collagen.  It's an integral part of the cell nucleus of most body tissues, including the eye, and is actively involved in the process of assimilation of vitamins necessary for normal functioning of the eye.
  • L-glutathione is a peptide consisting of three amino acids: glutamine, cysteine and glycine. It participates in all redox reactions, has a powerful antioxidant and atherosclerotic effect, and prevents the deposit of proteins in the tissues of the lens.
  • Bilberry extract. The active components of bilberry extract are anthocyanins, which penetrate and accumulate in tissues of the eye, especially in the retina.  Bilberry extract’s anthocyanins are strong antioxidants that neutralize free radicals, have decongestant effect, and reduce the permeability of the capillaries. 
  • Anthocyanins have a protective effect on blood vessels by reducing capillary fragility, exerting a positive effect on vascular lesions in diabetic retinopathy, and contributing to the stabilization of the connective tissue.  They also normalize the outflow of intraocular fluid.
  • The beta-carotene in the composition of bilberries helps to keep the eyes from drying, in particular after times of great concentration, such as when working on the computer.
  • Bilberry extract also plays an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial role in the eyes.
  • L-Taurine participates in transfer of image signals, stimulates metabolism, and helps in the regeneration of eye tissues.  It contributes to the normalization of cell membrane function.
  • Zeaxanthin acts as an antioxidant, eliminates and prevents the formation of peroxide compounds in the body, protects the lens of the eye from early aging, compaction, and cataract formation, and is also present in the macula of the human retina, which acts as a natural filter of potentially phototoxic blue light and ultraviolet radiation.
  • Lutein is a strong antioxidant. It's accumulated in the retina, particularly in the macula.  Due to its natural ability to reflect (block) harmful light rays, lutein protects the eyes from the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays.  It prevents the clouding of the lens and the destruction of the retina.  Lutein also reduces the formation and accumulation of lipofuscin pigment, which is associated with the development of macular degeneration.

Usage Instructions

Adults and children over 6 years should take 1 tablet per day during meals.

For the optimal prophylactic effect, take a two-month course of VIZIFORT two times a year.  In other cases, follow the recommendation of your doctor.
